Your donation will help build high school dorms in a safe, trauma- informed environment for students in need. These dorms will offer a comfortable place to rest, a space to wash up after the day, opportunities for mentorship in the family room, and a study area for continued learning after school. Your contribution will support an essential space for healing and transformation, from the inside out! This is hope for the future!

Just One Africa is currently committed to funding the first six buildings, which will make it possible for the Senior High classes to open and begin serving students. As future funding becomes available, we will thoughtfully revisit priorities and may continue building out the full campus, with a long-term vision of twelve buildings in total.

Our next fundraising priority is the Sr. High Boys Dormitory, with a projected cost of $450,000.
This dormitory will house 96 students. It will provide students with safe, comfortable, and conducive living environments, fostering a sense of community and supporting academic excellence. If we break it down per student, it is $4,688 each.

Together, we raised the full $450,000 required to build the girls’ dormitory—an incredible reminder of what’s possible when people show up with open hands and hearts. Now, we’re stepping forward to do the same for the boys’ dormitory.

SENIOR HIGH DORMS
Many students in Southern Kenya have experienced trauma and face great challenges in high school.
Traditional schools can create emotional wounds and cause learning setbacks. Bullying, abuse, and harsh environments traumatize students, hinder their learning, and limit future opportunities.
Overcrowded classrooms and a broken system cause students to miss key opportunities, harming their lives. We believe every student deserves a safe, nurturing environment to learn, grow, and heal. Lenkai Christian High School offers more than education—it’s a space for students to discover their strengths, build confidence, and prepare to lead with compassion and purpose.
Students face challenges and risk losing hope. They need your support to turn this trauma-informed high school into a reality, bringing hope to many. Once struggling to dream, children will be able to pursue goals with courage. They need a dedicated space as they advance through their high school years, and your donation will help meet this urgent need.

Diana
Diana’s story is one example. When her family forced her to undergo harmful traditions and become a child bride, she ran away and found refuge at Hope Beyond Center. She thought her educational journey was over, but thanks to Lenkai Christian School, she was able to pick up the pace and quickly jumped into learning.
Public schools in her area were maxed out, full of situations that would further her pain. She could have lost years of schooling, but at Lenkai, she found not just a safe place—but a community that believed in her and gave her the chance to keep learning and dreaming. Now she needs to advance to high school, and the facilities at Lenkai are nowhere near big enough for the demand.
We need to build a trauma-informed high school that will welcome all those in need of a safe place so they can find healing and hope and be better equipped to go back out into the world and restore the brokenness around them.

Establishing a trauma-informed high school in a Maasai community is crucial for empowering both boys and girls, whose education is often disrupted by harmful cultural practices such as Female Genital Mutilation (FGM), child marriage, and child labor.
