The journey I had with Just One Africa was a life-changing experience. There was so much more to learn than just water filter distribution. The entire process was efficient and meaningful and we did so much in one day. My favorite part was listening to the stories of the people we met. They enjoyed telling us about their lives, how things have changed with the influence of Just One Africa, and how they are building and supporting their own sustainable community. I enjoyed listening, asking questions, and learning. I will remember their names for a long time and I hope to go back.

We love supporting JOA! We know them personally and believe wholeheartedly in their mission. We love their desire to get water filters to individuals who would most likely never have the opportunity to have access to clean water. This water filter is literally life-saving and life-changing due to the very fact that it can prevent water borne diseases and keep families healthy who would typically be prone to sicknesses. They are definitely reaching the marginalized and underprivileged communities, and we will continue to support their endeavors!.

I got involved with this nonprofit through family, and I can attest that those who work with them and run this nonprofit deeply love and care for the people in Africa. They are so intentional to make sure that all the things they do are to help the local people and not to harm, and I have learned so much about this. Buying locally, providing clean water, teaching skills, and training locals to provide the clean water are all things that I’ve been so rewarded to learn about. We have been blessed to support a student in a school through this nonprofit and are having the joy of seeing her grow up with an education, clean clothes, good food, and a chance at a future where she can provide for herself and her family. I can’t say enough good things about Just One Africa, Inc.

We are thankful for the ministries the j1A organization supports and partners within Kenya. Having just returned from a trip with J1A and our church, we were able to observe and participate with Hope Beyond and other indigenous and local partners who take the command to love thy neighbor as a blessing to meet desperate needs in their communities.

The water filtration ministry – where water filtration systems are provided and local communes are trained with the proper and continued use of these systems is incredible to see and be a part of. Local volunteers dedicate their time in order to train their neighbors in the dangers of unclean water and how to use the filter system in a sustainable method for years to come. Then, they return to the homes to check on the system to ensure it is functioning correctly and to document the health effects of the system. All involved are motivated by faith in God and in following Jesus, sharing the gospel and celebrating the good news being experienced in these families and communities.

Truly a fascinating work that would not be happening without J1A’s funding and hand on leadership.

I visited Kenya with JOA and my experience was absolutely amazing. I will not be the same after this trip. We were able to see the community embrace the importance of clean water during water distribution. We were then able to observe follow-ups with people after communities had been using the water filters. The self-sufficiency JOA is enabling in these communities is evident and apparent.

What an incredible blessing to join Just One Africa for ten days in Kenya! The Lord is doing life-changing work through the Churchills and their amazing partners there. To be able to witness personally and hear the stories first-hand of how this ministry is impacting lives was deeply moving. A moment that I’ll cherish forever was meeting the child that my husband and I are privileged to sponsor through the JOA child sponsorship program. All three of us hugged, laughed, and wept together! To God be the glory for the great things He is doing through his servants, Clay and Amy Churchill , and their faithful partners in Kenya! Thank you for letting us be a small part of God’s work with you !! 

Just got back from Kenya with Just One Africa. The trip was amazing and JOA did a great job of taking care of us in Kenya. The work JOA is doing for the people of Kenya is incredible. I would recommend this organization to anyone.

Thank you Just One Africa (JOA) for making our short-term mission trip amazing and so effective. I learned so much and had the opportunity to work alongside some remarkable & passionate partners of JOA. I really appreciated the intentionality of JOA. They made sure our team had many opportunities to ask questions of the people who have fully committed their hearts to the various areas of need. And with the discussions we were able to participate by working alongside these committed people which solidified the following, listening and learning. WOW! Thank you, JOA and partnering organizations, for displaying God’s work being fulfilled. I will never be the same.

Our church just did a trip with Just One Africa and it was amazing. They are the most organized NGO I have ever worked with. If you want to see an organization empower local people, and create sustainable restoration, and human flourishing you want to be a part of what Just One Africa is doing.

In a world where you can be anything, be kind. This is what Just One Africa is all about. Their passion and kindness is unmatched. I have worked with them directly in Kenya through the different programs in Kimana. I have to say, the Churchills are one of a kind. The dedication to be in the field and serve first hand is incredible. May the good Lord bless them as they are a blessing to many here.

We have collaborated with J1A and their team on providing trauma-informed care training programs, counseling, and support for continued learning. Their commitment to providing the best resources for sustainability will forever change the landscape of the areas they serve.

While they provide cycle-breaking change one person at a time, the ripple effects will affect thousands more throughout the years ahead.

I have donated to Just One Africa for the past ten years and have truly been blessed to be a part of their efforts. I have seen their projects in Kenya and am proud to support projects that definitely bring positive change to peoples lives! Their heart of love for their Kenyan partners and surrounding communities is evident.

Just One Africa is an incredible nonprofit that has made such an incredible impact on my life. I have volunteered with them for nearly a decade and each time I am more and more impressed with how they lead the organization, educate the community, love on their partners and steward their resources. I have been so blessed to be a part of this nonprofit!

I participated in a trip with a team from my church that traveled to Kenya in June 2022. It was an amazing trip, and JOA did a great job in everything from the pre trip team building meetings, coordination and direction of activities in Kenya, and post trip meeting and group facilitation. Their heart for the people of Kenya and heart and attitude of being co-laborers with local missionaries in view of long term poverty elimination and not being focused on short term results was refreshing. Their engagement and the relationships they had built with the children and adults in the community showed that they have a real love for them. The group study of “Helping With Out Hurting in Short Term Missions” was especially impactful.
